BUSINESS SKILLS FOR ARTISTS

This six-session workshop series will be offered for free; key topics for the professional artist including crafting the artist statement, CV development, effective marketing, and fine art photography. The workshops will be moderated by area professional Jenny Dowd. Her lectures will be supplemented by additional artist presentations.

ABOUT JENNY DOWD
Dowd studied ceramics at Kansas State University and completed her MFA in Ceramics with a minor in Fibers at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dowd has exhibited her work at museums, galleries and art centers across the country. She has been recognized with numerous fellowships and awards; she is also an accomplished lecturer. Her work is in the permanent collection of the National Museum of Wildlife Art, Jingdezhen Sanbao Ceramic Art Institute Museum and Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro. Her work is sold widely at shops in Wyoming, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Montana. The six workshops will address the following topics: creating an artist statement, resume & CV development, fine art photography, effective marketing, web presence and exploring application opportunities. Dowd’s lectures will be supplemented by an additional artist presentation at each workshop.
