Raising Girls is hosting a discussion on Wednesday evening (May 2) at 6pm in the Teton County Library.
The event is hosted by Raising Girls, a program of GAP!, promoting success for girls through education, self-discovery, and community building.  Raising Girls hosts three events a year.  The topic of the evening is “The Emotional Life of Girls”, and will be facilitated by the founder of Raising Girls, Carrie Kirkpatrick.  The emotional life of a girl can be a tangled and exciting ride that can sometimes come across as overwhelming to parents.  Among other topics, Carrie will discuss why girls feel the way they do at different phases in life, monthly mood swings, and when to seek counsel outside the home.  Attendants will have a chance to speak with parents who may also want to learn more and leave feeling empowered to continue making valiant efforts at connecting with their daughter throughout her emotional swings.
