Art: Judd Thompson Demonstration & Discussion – Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival 2018

Azadi Fine Rugs & The Stapleton Gallery – Judd Thompson Demonstration & Discussion

2:00–6:00 PM | Azadi Fine Rugs & The Stapleton Gallery | 55 N. Glenwood St. | |

Montana-based painter Judd Thompson –of The Stapleton Gallery– will share his distinct painting voice for the first time in Jackson. Growing up on the Crow Indian Reservation and helping his parents run the Custer Battlefield Trading Post informs his work with the collision of commerce and tradition. Thompson’s bold, textile-inspired paintings are a perfect co-mingling for Azadi’s exquisite collection of fine Western and Tribal Rugs. Live painting demonstrations and discussion with the artist. Please join us to be inspired by contemporary painting that both confronts and speaks to a rich tradition of art and craft.
